Come Join Us At The 2008 Blue/White Scrimmage
Get the first glimpse of the 2008 Pegleg season in our annual Blue/White scrimmage. During this intersquad scrimmage teams from Stuyvesant will take turns running offensive and defensive plays against each other in a competitive setting. Although it is unofficial, both Varsity and JV will get an opportunity to display the progress they have made over the last two weeks.

The scrimmage will take place on Wednesday, August 27th at Pier 40 at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to come and support the players and the team. Parents are also invited to attend a social gathering at Stuyvesant H.S. (5th floor cafeteria) where refreshments will be served at 5pm. Stop by to meet the coaches, parents, and other players.

2007-2008 Football Team - This Year's Outlook
Stuyvesant's 2007 season was viewed as a success. Both Varsity and JV programs finished the year with a 6-4 record. A winning season is exactly what the Pegleg faithful was looking for.

The varsity team was lead by a potent offense, which led the PSAL in passing offense. The stingy defense held teams to an average of 8.8 points per game, including three shutouts towards the end of the season.

The junior-varsity team showed outstanding poise on both offense and defense. Throughout the year the student-athletes displayed a tremendous amount of improvement.

The 2008 team looks to pick up where last year's squad left off. The team will be anchored by captains Dionicio Herrera and Nick Goldin, but look to fill holes created by graduating seniors. Stuyvesant also has experienced a change in the coaching staff. Coach Strasser steps up as the head coach, while adding of new coaches that are able and willing to step into a successful program.

Check out the new coaching staff.
